First day of spring. REALLY?

Image
HAPPY FIRST DAY OF SPRING Well technically it is the second day of spring but really.  I get so tired of snow. Especially when the snowblower doesn't work and my son decided to play video games all night instead of shoveling.  I had to work yesterday into last night 3pm to 3 am.  It's an okay shift, I am always busy but I have no time during the day.  When I worked 7pm to 7 am at least I had time to do homework or laundry or maybe clean the house. (Well at least look like I was cleaning it).  Anyway, getting back to the reason I was talking about my work, Imy children were all home yesterday when I left. Watching tv and playing video games.  Knowing I come home at 4am I would have thought my children would have shoveled the driveway.  I mean they are 18 and 23. They know I come home really early. Come on how hard is it, really? to say I was not happy when I got home was an understatement. I drove over the huge pile of snow...

A wonderful Woman

Image
Let me talk about a woman I have known my whole life.  My Nana. Lillian Lynk.  Nana went home to be with God on March 1, 2018.  This is a story of her leaving us and going home as I remember it.  Others may remember things differently, as we all have different perceptions, but this story is my perception.  I had the privilege to be with her as she started her journey home.  It was the most peaceful thing I have ever been part of. Nana was in the hospital back in Jan when my oldest brother came up to visit.  We went over to see her and my dad in the hospital.  It was nice to visit and time to catch up.  Nana was tired although she tried to tell us she wasn't.  It was a very nice visit and she was going to a rehab center that Monday.  She had been there before and she liked it there.  She was looking forward to going back.  I took a picture of her the last time she was there in a rainbow shirt.  I made a comment a...

Changes all around me

Today is March 18, 2018. So much has happened since I last wrote on this blog.  Both Sarah and Noah have graduated high school.  Sarah is working as a stylist in T &co on center street in Bethlehem.  She is loving doing what she does.  She is a very talented girl.  She does my hair when I can make the time to get there.Noah is working for a small general contractor.  He loves it.  He has his own money to spend on things he wants.  Right now he wants a car, so he is working towards that.  I guess he is tired of driving my van.  If he didn't wreck the ford he would still be driving that. Ryan is still doing well.  He is still going to the same program he was in.  He likes it. I, on the other hand, do not.  It seems that at least once a week I get some kind of phone call from them.  They tell me Ryan had an accident and had to be changed at school.  When he comes home he will repeat whatever the school tol...

Were Have TheYears Gone?

Okay so it is now September 2013. Lots has happened since I last wrote.  Mom is home and Noah did fine with his scope.  Mike is flying a lot and Demo passed away.  Lots more has happened but for now this will have to do. Sarah is now a senior in high school.  I can't believe she is going to graduate this year.  Where has the time gone? She is still going to Votech for cosmetology.  She loves it.  Although the first year she was told by one of the teachers that this isn't for her and she should drop out.  (I was pretty upset when I learned of this but things have a way of working out) Sarah told me about the comment the end of her junior year. Which is why I didn't say anything. She had a new teacher.  Anyway. Sarah seems to be doing very well with Cosmo. She is also working at a salon as a receptionist.  Not loving it but I think she will once she gets used to all of the responsibility.

OH WOW!

Well today is May 2, 2012. I have let time slip away again. So much has happened since I last wrote. Sarah turned 17, Noah is 12, Ryan is 27. Becca is back and Mike has been flying a lot more. So let's start with Sarah. Sarah is driving now. Trying to get her own car. She went through a driving class, that her mean parents made her pay for! And I'm glad she took that class. She is more aware of the others on the road and swears she won't even look at her phone while driving. Which I am glad about. Mike and I are looking into a used car for her to drive. But for now she gets to drive the van. Ugh. She has had her first fender bender with my car. She was pulling out of a parking space at church and she hit the car beside her. She thought it was a good friend of the family but turned out to be the pastors car. She was scared to tell him but she did. I was proud of her for speaking up and telling him what she did. He took it in stride too. His and my car are all fixed now. ...

Ahh the Crazy life I lead.

As I sit here typing this my mom is sleeping in a hospital bed.  Princeton, Il is where we are at.  Mom and I drove out to Iowa to celebrate the graduation of Zach. We had a great time visiting and I am even thinking of bringing Sarah and Noah back in the summer. Zach showed me the dairy farm that he works at, and Hannah almost killed me when she saw me. She ran so fast and tackled me. I enjoyed getting to see Susan and meeting Perry.  Titus is growing too fast and Susan parents are very special people.  The few days I was with them made me realize just how much I miss them.  On the way home yesterday, Mom started to feel like she couldn't catch her breath.  I pulled over and she did a breathing treatment.  It really didn't seem to help but I thought if we stopped and slept she would be better in the am.  Well at 4am mom woke me and said she couldn't breath.  I decided to have the hotel call an ambulance to bring her to the closest hospital....

Working and Such

I have to say this working thing is for the birds. I haven't been able to turn around. I feel like the days keep blending into one. I am hoping that once I get on a regular schedule I will be able to do more. I always knew I would go back to work sooner or later I really thought it would be later. I was thinking after Noah was in High school. I think God had a different plan. I don't mind so much now. I start my Phlebotomy job on Monday. I can't wait. I plan on being the one that you won't even know that I took your blood. It won't hurt a bit. That's what I want anyway. I am excited and nervous. So if you need your bllod taken come see me. I will be happy to take it from you! Saarah has alot going on right now. She wants to go to the Lehigh valley Performing Arts high school. I went to the open house and I have to say I was impressed greatly! This seems like it would be a perfect fit for her. The kids come from all over. One girl moved from Maryland to go here...
